The journey saw the vessel battle against extreme weather conditions during this 3 week long transit, however this was expertly managed by the captain onboard.
On arrival SVS Monck took over on a standby role for security duties for Coral Sul FLNG.
During the month long stay in port, the vessel was visited on numerous occasions by senior Mozambique military personnel and navy.
Many tests were conducted throughout her stay in port to ensure her readiness should any potential security concern or threat arise.
Fortunately, during this cover period SVS Monck did not need to intervene to any such incident despite being ready to act 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The master and crew demonstrated thoroughly throughout the project the vessel’s capabilities to react to a situation if called upon.
On successful completion of this task SVS Monck has now demobilsied to Mombasa, Kenya where she will remain for a couple of weeks for rest and maintenance before setting off on her next project.
